Regulatory Craft

My thanks to Professor Malcolm Sparrow, a leader in regulatory practice.

Practical Compliance

Regulators the world over suffer the same challenge: how to pick the important problems and fix them.

It is not possible to prosecute your way to compliance – it is necessary to put in place systems that drive voluntary compliance. This puts increasing pressure on regulated entities to demonstrate conformance to the underlying goal: reducing harm.

Regulatory Insight

By using real world experince as a regulator, it is possible to build a fit-for-purpose regulatory compliance system that means firms do not fall in to the common trap of emphasising box ticking over true compliance that addresses risks to citizens.
